ow do I get that stupid password screen to never appear again when windows boots up and when I log on to the net. It says that if I don't put in a password it will never pop up again but it lied!

You can't really get rid of that password pop-up There is a utility called TweakUI 98 that allows you to automatically log on to your machine without you having to enter your password every time You can get tweakUI from the Windows 98 CD.
It's in the (x):\tools\reskit\powertoy directory where x is the drive letter of your cd-rom.
