Should I upgrade my 486?

because it is a 486 i should prob. dump it..... aol is soooooooo slow. the internet takes forever. i want a pentium. should i put the processor into this? Or should i buy a new motherboard with the pentium cpu in it?

The 486 was a good processor in it's time, but it's time has passed If you want a Pentium, you will probably have to buy a new motherboard to put it in anyway, because the processor slots are different Modem speed is also a factor, as well as memory The story gets longer, as well as more expensive The investment will be worth it, though.
