I deleted the stand by or sleep mode in shut down. To get it back do I have to reinstall WIN 98?

UNANSWERED go to the dos prompt and type scanre/restore See if you can find a date previos to the deleting of the files You can restore your system settings to what they were that day by doing this.

you start at your desktop,go to start shutdown, restart in msdos mode ,and at the c/windows prompt type "scanreg/restore, hit enter and choose date prior to the deletion of the file. This should bring your system settings back to that day.
