Where can I find FREE software to protect myself on-line?

A very clever programmer by the name of Mark Thompson, a.k.a AnalogX has created a group of programs that are FREE to anyone that wants them The programs range from Internet port blockers to Proxy Servers to Web Servers Here is a brief list of items that we found interesting:

PORTBLOCKER-Block out the bad guys on-line! This program will monitor all of the Internet related ports on your computer and notify you if someone is "sniffing" at your connection When you see that someone is their, simply disconnect and the "threat" is gone If you find that repeated attempts are made from the same IP, the program keeps a log file that you can send to your ISP Beat the hackers at their own game!

PROXY-Safely share your Internet connection Sharing an Internet connection can be an open invitation to hackers unless you protect yourself Here is a free Proxy Server program.

NETSTAT LIVE-Check your connection speed to the Net! Have you ever wondered just how fast your network connection is? Not just how fast the modem is connected at, but how much data you can actually get? Does your internet connection sometimes seem slower than normal? Find out what's really going on!
