How do I send my scanned images via email?

I am using a Visioneer Scanner which uses *.max association with any file.When I attempt to EMail a scanned item, the attachment is xxx.max. Unless the recipent has a Visioneer scanner he/she cannot download. Is there a way to Email attachment so it can be downloaded?

Check your scanner software for a Save As option If you find it, look for common graphic file type such as *.jpg or *.gif.
