What is the best way to transfer files from one computer to another, short of copying the files on small 1.4 mb disks. Can two computers be hooked up some way?

There are many ways to transfer files from one computer to another One way is if both computers are close together, you can use a Network Interface Card (NIC) They are very cheap (about $20) and both computers need them A cable is connected from one NIC to the other You then will be "networked" together and can share reasources on both computers.

Another way I like to use is a zip disk They can store about the same data as 80 seperate 1.4 MB disks! For this you need a zip drive You can get these for about $100, and if it's external (connected on the outside of the computer), it is a lot easier to install rather than opening up your computer

Laplink is another popular solution that is available at most software stores It allows you to connect the 2 computers via the serial or parallel ports.
