Cannot remember my password to open Windows 98 or desktop, etc...

This is a common problem that fortunaly it is easily solved with Windows 98 Since it is a user operating system and not very secure All you need to do is close the password box via the X or the cancel buttons This will bypass the security Then click on start, programs, then MS-Dos prompt This will open a black window with some grey text

Then type:

del c:\windows\*.pwl

This line will delete any passwords that you have in the system and allow you to input new passwords after rebooting.
