Your problem is one that many of computer user have encountered I wish I had some better news for you When you formatted the hard drive from the DOS prompt the computer understood that to mean you wanted to wipe out the contents of your hard drive Usually when you do this you can use a disk shipped with your computer to resore the drives contents back to their original condition Without such a disk you need to install your operating system You can only do this with the software disk IE: Windows 98 CD ROM You can purchase a copy of Windows at almost any computer store, but be sure to purchase the "FULL VERSION", not the upgrade The software will come with instructions on how to complete a "Clean Install" of the software.
