Can I delete an email without opening it?

Gentlemen(?): How do I delete a message in e-mail before opening it? I do not want to get any of these viruses. Thanks, Paul

Hello and thanks for sending your question There is no way of deleting an email without viewing it You have to select the message in order to delete it However, viruses in e-mail usually come as an attachment So, never open an e-mail attachment if you're not sure it comes from a trusted source
