Why my computer system is very slow when searching the internet?

I have cleaned up every part of my system, dropped my desktop down to the minimum, set all files to NO HISTORY, replaced my modem, and I still crawl on the web, literally. It takes up to seven minutes to open a site and a continual stream of error messages come up. We have NO computer experts in our area. HELP!!!!

Thanks for sending your concerns By looking at your system profile I can immediately pinpoint some of your problems Adding additional memory will help speed things up 64 or 128MB is a good number to shoot for Also, if you're running out of space on your hard drive this can increase wait times You may have a 56k modem, but depending on the condition and quality of your phone line this may be an issue as well.

It might be time to get rid of the current install of windows and start fresh.
