Error Message:

MWME 0001:

Modem Internal Error

Primary Code: 6 (0x0006)

Secondary Code: 512 (0x0200)

File: MWMIPC:C

Line: 701

My phone line to the computer has no other phones connected.

I don't have call forwarding/waiting/caller ID.

This phone line is used only for my computer.

The error message come on sometimes before I even get on-line, sometimes after a few minutes and sometimes after a couple of hours. It's never consistent.

I have Norton Systemworks 2000 and have ran every test, update it weekly on-lin and have it find/fix problems. Always says my modem is fine.

What can be the problem?

Thank you,

Betty
