How can I 'RESTORE' Win98 (NOT upgrade it) by partially re-installing the OS elements like DLL's and other Win98 Sub-Components which have been corrupted or otherwise improperly deleted over time by system crashes and installation of other programs?
Basis the behavior of my system, I know this has happened - but I do want to do a COMPLETE re-install and then have to re-install ALL my other Applications.
Is there A*N*Y M'SOFT or 3rd-party Application that can do this - or at least scan my system and tell me what is now MISSING - and if not, how should I do the re-install to save as much of my current settings as possible?
Thank You: JNR

You could try scanreg/restore you do this by going to start, shutdown, restart in msdos mode ,typing scanreg /restore at the c:/windows prompt and selecting date when sytem is running correctly. You can also call people or company you bought computer from to see if there is a recovery system recovery disk that comes with the system or where you could purchase one.
