Spellchecker

Spell checker disappeared from Outlook Express. nothing changed on computer. Have 3.01b? of Microsoft Works and spell checker works on it. There one day gone the next. Installed IE5.5 and still no spell checker. Do not have spelling tab (disappeared) on tools/optins.
