When trying to format a Quantum 1080AT Hard drive it will only format to 503 Meg. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance...Norm Flom

1 Your motherboard might only see the drive as a 540mb hard drive If this is the case the problem is with your motherboard You might be able to use drive overlay software to allow access to the rest of the drive.

2 Also, that hard drive might only have a 540mb partition You'll need to run the FDISK command from a DOS prompt, remove the current partition, create a new partition to the full drive size and reformat the hard drive to the full 1gb.

Thanks,
