Computer gets illegal operation at bootup

every time i boot up this message comes on my computer ,why... this is it.....computer get message ,symtray,this program has preformed an illegal operation and will be shut down..........when i go to details it says symtray caused an invalid page fault in module.symtray exe at 017f;00404f13. registers.

You can try booting the system in safe mode; press F8 before the windows splash screen comes up; and try uninstalling the software the loaded that symtray file If you don't know what loaded it you can run the msconfig program, select the startup tab and unchecking the box that loads the symtray file.
