Free internet

I was just connected to a cable modem (wonderful!!!). I thought, however, that this would eliminate the expense of AOL, but apparently that isn't so. What other ISP can I connect to at no expense? Thanks.

You cut the cost of connecting to AOL via TCP/IP vs dial-up a good deal If you still want to use a free provider you can check out netzero or go to a search engine and type free isp as the search string.
