What exactly is Aimster?

"Aimster" is a program modeled after "Napster" in that, it is a file sharing program specifically designed to work with the AOL Instant Messanger (AIM - thus the name Aimster).

The main difference between Napster and Aimster is that with Aimster you are only swapping files with people on your "Buddy List" In addition, Aimster allows you to swap virtually any file instead of just MP3's.

Aimster also allows file sharing between AOL's AIM and ICQ users.

The program is currently only available for Windows users and can be downloaded at:
