Why can't I adjust video settings?

i had not shut down the system properly and now when i turned it on my display settings were corrupted, now the display settings are showing "16 colour" while it used to be "24-bit" and i a not able to change it back to '24-bit' because the display adapter and the moniter type have been changed. Mine is an 'LG Studioworks 440Si' moniter. please help me to correct the settinge

I suggest that you go to Device Manager (Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, Device Manager) and remove the display adapter Then restart the system and W95 should redetect the adapter and reinstall it More than likely it will begin functioning properly If not then go to your video card manufacturers website and download a new video driver Download and installation instructions will be at the site.
