Why doesn't secondary button work on my mouse??

The secondary button quit working on my mouse. It is a microsoft intellimouse. I purchased another one today it is a

microsoft wheel mouse it worked ok for awhile but the secondary button Quit working on it too. What can I do to remedy this. I reistalled the software that came with it and the buttons are in the default mode. Every thing seems to be installed properly. please help.

This sounds like a hardware problem to me Here are some things that could be cause your mouse to malfunction:

1.Mouse port itself could be damaged.

2.The connection at the port and the motherboard, (circuitry) damaged.

3.Mouse cable being stretched too tight, partially pulled loose.
