Why does my video only have 16 colors??

well im a guy whos into comps.my question is ,well that i lost some colors,and now i just have 16 colors,i uninstalled my video driver,so that i could let my comp. find it.well it did but i still have 16 colors, could u help me out

It sounds like you just have the standard VGA driver installed You can go to your video card manufacturers website and download a "new" video driver, and then you should be able to choose which colors you like Download and installation instructions at website.
