Why do phone calls activate my pc?

whenever i make a phone call or someone calls me on the phone my computer switches itself on. I have disabled everything i can find in the bios but this still happens. I do not have call waiting and have set the modem to ignore phone line rings. can you please help

Go into the bios, power management, and disable the Modem IRQ and the Modem Wake On Ring.

This should help, if not, then resubmit question.
