I get a low grade "buzzing/huing" from my Altec Lansing speakers. The noise gets louder when the volume is turned up. It almost seems like feedback but nothing new has been done to the computer since its purchase last year. It worked falwlessly for the first 12 months.

I have already checked the sound card in the device manager. It is working properly (SB Live). Should I replace the speaker system? Thank you.

Hello and thank you for your question.

I suggest you first check your speaker cables, unplug and plug back in Then if you feel comfortable doing it, I would check your sound card and audio cable and make sure they are seated properly Again, I would unplug and plug back in If after doing these things and no change, then you should go to your sound cards website and download a "new" driver If still no change then I would recommend a "new" sound card.

Good luck!!
