Why does my floppy drive not work?

To whom this may concern

sory to diturb but i was wondering if you could help me out. My problem is that my floppy drive is not working. Everytime i put a disk in it wont let me into it. It comes up a A:\ is not accessible

The device is not ready. I tried changing disks but that still wont allow me in.

Hello and thank you for your question,

I assume that you did not make any changes for the A:drive in the BIOS I suggest you ckeck the floppy drive ribbon cable and also the power cable and make sure they are both attached properly A loose connection or a reversed ribbon cable will cause a floppy to malfunction If after doing this the floppy still does not work I would say that you need to replace the drive with a new one.
