Integrated sound card
I bought this computer brand new but marked down (a lot!)because it had no software.
I partitioned and formatted the hard drive and got everything working great, except I can't find the drivers for the sound card, which is integrated into the motherboard.
I checked the HP web site, but there are no sound card drivers listed for this model (or any of the models I browsed). I checked all the driver web sites (windrivers, etc.), but they all referred back to the HP site. Generic drivers do not work.
Do I have any options besides installing a new sound card? Are there any issues I am missing?
Thank you for your response and for your great service. People come to me for computer problems all the time, but I never know where to go when I have a problem myself.

Hello and thank you for your question.
I would surely think that you should be able to find a driver for your sound card, especially since this is a new system Before buying and installing a new sound card I suggest you go to www.drivershq.com, (if you haven't already done so!) and see if they have a driver for you This is a good site for sometimes hard to find drivers.
Good luck!!
