I have a pentium III 933 running ME . I installed Faxworks

ver 3.0 (older version win.95 vintage) Everything appeared

to load properly except the modem "failed to initialize"

when I launch the application. I know the modem works, and

the modem is not being used by another application at the

same time.

HI.

You should log on to the Website that handles your fax program and see if it is compatable with Windows ME You may need to update your fax program ME has been known to have compatability issues with older software (and hardware) Another possiblility is your modem's fax driver is not compatable with the older program, or with ME Even though you can connect to the internet with your modem is no guarantee that you can fax, unless your fax program can properly communicate with your modem via the correct driver.
