How can I get my Windows 98 program menu to go across the screen instead of just scrolling up and down?

One of the many "improvements" that Windows 98 made over Windows 95 was to make the Programs menu scroll in a single column (some improvement!).
Many users of Windows 95 go crazy when they upgrade to Windows 98 because the program menu will not show more than one column of programs.
Thanks to our buddy Marco at <a href="http://www.WebAttack.com" target="_blank"><font color="#003399">WebAttack.com</font></a>, there is a simple solution It's a free utility called <a href="http://www.datadoctors.com/files/extend.exe" target="_blank"><font color="#003399">"extend.exe" (click here to download it)</font></a>.
This quick and simple utility will allow you to change your Start menu from scrolling to the old Windows 95 style!
