Is there a one-time fix for all viruses?

Parsons Technology claims that Virucide 2001 with no updates is all you will ever need?

Thank you for your question To be very frank with you there is no such thing Remember viruses are created by people and as long as there are people there will be new viruses A good anti-virus program will tell you you need to update your program to protect your system against new viruses The easiest way this is done is via the web You log onto their site and download their updates Usually this is free for a certain period of time after you have bought their software, after that it's usually a yearly fee for updates If it sounds to good to be true it probably is.
