When I try to access my flopy drive, it says invalid media type, why? It's not the floppy disk, because I have tried it on other computers, can you help me?

Thanks.

Hello and thank you for your question.

This error means the drive cannot read the disk for some reason You say you can use this disk on other pc's, so right it's not the disk Curious, have you tried other disks with the same results? If so then the first thing I would do is to check your floppy cable connections and also check your settings in your BIOS, although I'm sure they will be fine if you haven't made any adjustments You can give your floppy drive a couple of blasts of compressed air to clean it If this is not enough you can buy a floppy drive cleaning kit to do a better job The last resort will be to replace the drive itself.
