I have a lot of problems with Spam unwanted X-rated e-mail to all my e-mail servers. I have 2 main accounts [email protected] and [email protected]. I was wondering if I installed Wpoison on my system how would that affect my system/web surfing/ browsing.

thank you

Hi: Your question prompted me to do a little research on Wpoison, and I found the following;

"Wpoison creates dynamically generated web pages full of convincingly lifelike, but completely bogus, email addresses, so spambots will pick them up and add them to their hitlists But the page also contains randomly generated links that the spambot inevitably follows, links that loop right back to the same page, now rearmed with a fresh set of random fake email addresses Caught in an endless loop, the bots feed on the addresses until they are bloated and full." The program is free and can be downloaded from http://e-scrub.com/wpoison/ I would advise you to read some comments about the program before you download it (comments can be found at www.google.com), since there are mixed reactions For example, one commenter stated that the program "causes more problems than it solves, because when a spammer tries to send to all those bogus addresses, they bounce back to whatever host is listed as the sender's address (often the forged names of unwitting email hosts), and the result is even more clogging up of the Net.

If you decide to try it, good luck, and happy de-spamming!
