My computer is begining to freeze on a regular basis when I am on the internet , it happens when I am using Netscape or Internet Explorer , this started a few days ago. I have Norton SystemWorks 2000 installed and recently went on line to update . I get the impression from what I read on your site , you advise to only use the antivirus program of the Norton system ? Would that be my best next approach to this problem ? Thank you in advance for any assistance , also FYI .,.. I really enjoy your radio show when I can catch it .

Thank you for your question I know how you feel I bought the Norton System Works about a year ago and could never get it to work no matter how much I tried I recently tried it again and went online to update it and experienced the same problem as you I have given up on it completly, but I have heard just like you have, the the anti-virus is the only thing to keep The reason I don't even do that is if I don't recognize the sender I don't open it I would remove ALL of the Norton System Works and just install the anti-virus program and you should be fine That being said I noticed you have a 2 gig hard drive If your hard drive is getting close to being full your computer can freeze up or run slow Getting online could be the straw that is breaking the camels back Also have you been running scan disk and de-frag on a regular basis? Doing so can help computer performance.
