Windows 98/98 SE users can access a hidden utility called "hwinfo.exe" (Hardware Diagnostic Tool) that will give you very specific details about your computer

In order to see the results of the tool you must do the following:

Click on Start, Run and type "HWINFO /UI" to launch the program with the user interface.

Once the utility collects the system inforation, it will display it in a number of ways For instance, if you want to see the current devices installed in your computer, click on View, Current Devices.

A color key will be listed at the bottom of most reports that explains the different entry colors.
