My problem is whenever I try to play a quicktime video all it shows is a blank screen with a small little screen in the upper left hand corner with a red square, a green circle, and a blue triangle. How do I fix this problem?

Sometimes if you download from a faulty source, or get your viewing settings and defaults scrambled up one way or another, your viewer will perform some of the bizarre tricks that you described In this case you have a couple choices.

You could go into your settings for Quicktime (on your player: edit, preferences, quicktime preferences) and make sure your selections are either the defaults or effective for your system according to Apple.com The other choice is to just remove the program and re-install it, which will reset things for you This option, although it takes the guess work out of the settings, is probably the more time consuming To avoid the reoccurance of the problem, don't download from questionable sources that might reset your defaults.

thank you for your question..
