Gentlefolks,

I bought a PARALLEL ZIP 250mb Drive so I can save $30. THEN I realized that I already have a USB printer which uses LPT1. How can I use my ZIP drive now?

Can you suggest how I might get another LPT, or use LPT1 for both the printer and the ZIP Drive? Even at different times would be OK with me. I'm stumped!

THANX!

Hi [email protected]

The USB or Universal Serial Bus is designed to support the ability to automatically add and configure new devices and the ability to add such devices without having to shut down and restart the system. The USB port can support 127 periphials by daisy chaining them together. You should have a USB port on you printer in which to plug in your zip drive.Keep in mind that USB ports have a transfer rate of 12 megabits per second,so downloading will take some time.
