Why doesn't the monitor controls work??

Our Monitor is a HP M 70

When installing the game Simtheme Park, our grandson experienced a problem with the monitor. It made the picture too wide for the screen, and we cannot correct it.

Some of the monitor controls no longer work. The horizontal width and horizontal shift are inoperative.

IS THERE A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM? IT IS A FAIRLY NEW MONITOR AND WE WOULD LIKE TO AVOID PURCHASING A NEW ONE IF FEASIBLE.

We have determined it is not a CPU problem, as another monitor works perfectly.

Have you had any other requests for help from people trying to install this type of game? What makes these games mess up the computers?? Human error or software problems? Do you have any clue?

Hoping to hear from you as soon as possible, as we would like to get it fixed ASAP.

Thank you

Hello and thank you for your question.

It sounds to me like the display settings are out of adjustment To adjust your display settings right-click on the desktop and then go to properties You will see four or five tabs, click on Settings and then make whatever adjustments you need If after doing this and still no change, then I suspect you have a corrupted "monitor" driver I suggest for you to go to the HP website and download and install a New driver for your monitor Another possibility would be a corrupted video driver, but not likely since another monitor worked fine.

Good luck!!
