Why won't my ISP allow me to get on line after 6:00 PM?

Although I pay a monthly fee for AOL, 24 hrs. daily use, I am unable to get on line after 6:00 p.m. Modem will not connect to telephone line. Should I replace the modem?

Hi, thanks for the question Assuming that this is happening more than once and you can get on line other times, it is more likely with your ISP(Internet Service Provider) than the modem It could be due to high internet traffic demand around that time in the day You may want to call your ISP for their suggestion.
