Upgrade 98,install new harware.

My question is that i have a emachine pc!, and it has the intel-celeron, can this be upgraded to a pentium2, or a pentium3, and a pentium4?..... and can i put a cd-r or cd-rw, or dvd rom?...........And what about this window's xp, is it worth buying?...........

The answer to the first two qestions is yes But keep in mind that the latest and greatest software and hardware comes with a high price tag I would stick with the Pent 3 and if you wanted to install a CD-R,CD-RW or DVD spend a little more for the better quality unit.As far as upgrading your OS from Win 98 to XP I would wait on that until all of the bugs are out of it Win ME would be a better choice There again, buy the full version not an upgrade for Win 98.
