My delete button has never worked since i bought my laptop about a year ago. Do you know of anything to do to possibly fix it or what would cause that?

Hi, this could be real frustrating if you use the delete button a lot One cause of this could come from something spilled on it that was sticky, like Coke or juice If it was a typical keyboard you could put it in the dishwasher and clean it Usually when keyboards go bad all you can do is to buy a new one But, you could do several things; 1)You could buy a keyboard that you would use on a PC and connect it to the back of your laptop Make sure it's a USB port type keyboard and one that's plug and play This way all you have to do is plug it in and the system recognizes the new keyboard and your set 2)If you've only had the laptop about a year, you should still have a warranty that should cover it This way you could take it back to where you purchased it and have them fix it for you 3)Contact Compaq and explain your delema to them and maybe they'd replace the keyboard for you 4) You can buy replacement keyboards for laptops and replace the old keyboards This, I would advise a tech service do for you, again I would start with the business where you purchased it and go from there Good luck, and I hope this helps
