How do I disable my onboard video card on my compaq presario

Here is the infomation you requested,good luck.

Step 1: Download and unzip the video driver

Access the video card manufacturer’s Web site

Browse to the Drivers section (It is usually in the Support area)

Click on the appropriate driver option

When the Save As dialog box appears, choose a directory that is easy to remember

Use a program such as WinZip to decompress the file

Step 2: Disable the current video driver

Access the Control Panel from Settings in the Start menu

Double click on System

Click on the Device Manager tab

Double click Display adapters

Double click on your video card

Click the General tab

Click the Original Configuration check box to disable it

Click OK and Yes to restart the computer

Step 3: Install the new driver

Access the Control Panel from Settings in the Start menu.

Double click on Add New Hardware.

In the Wizard, click Next, No, and Next

Double click on Display adapters

Click on Have Disk

Browse to the location of the previously saved driver

Click OK
