Recently I had a problem with my computer, due to power outage (blink), and also they found a virus.

They fixed the computer fine. They updated my windows from 95 to 98.

My problem:

When I print a document, the printer first prints one line of (@P>>>!! !! !!SSS) jibberish on a single page, then continues on a new page to print the document or e-mail letter, etc.

I have checked my printer settings etc, and can find no reason for this. Any help to elimate this one line first will be appreciated. Thanks

Pauline

Hi Pauline.

If your printer has recently begun not to work, attempt to reinstall the printer drivers to ensure that the printer drivers have not became corrupted or overwritten.

If you are trying to install the printer, verify that you are using the proper installation diskettes and or CD and that Windows is initializing the correct printer.
