This AST computer is from 1994. It came with 3.1 windows. I later changed to windows 95 and also added another hard drive. I have a,C,D and E drives. Everything was working fine and then it went black. I got windows on and working again but now the mouse will not work. It is a logitech serial mouse that was working on COM 1 or COM 2. But now it doesn't work at all. What could the problem be and how could I fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Some of the components listed above, I am not sure of, mainly the type of sound card.

Chances are that when you got Windows back on the system no longer recognizes your mouse Right click My Computer and go to properties Click on the Device Manager tab and find mouse in the list Click on the sign and highlight the mouse in that list and click remove REBOOT the computer and let plug and play load the mouse for you and see if that helps Good luck
