Missing olepro32.dll

I'm getting an error message saying that I'm missing OLEPRO32.DLL file when I try to go into my music download program. I tried searching my hard drive but nothing came up. I tried reinstalling the same program and also other download programs and the same message appears. So what shall I do?

Two possible solutions are listed below.

1 The error message appears if the OLEPRO32.DLL is missing.

The file OLEPRO32.DLL should be in the "C:\Windows\System" directory Check that file and see if it is there If not, the file is missing and not just lost, you can go to the following website to download the missing .dll: "www.brill.nl/eicd/faq/olepro32-dll-not-found.html"

2 Another website "www.waveevents.com/html/wesupport.htm" may offer you a solution.

This error can also be caused when a user has installed an application with a newer version of OLEPRO32.DLL (v5.x) and did not install OLEAUT32.DLL (v2.2 ) which is required by OLEPRO32.DLL v5 This can be determined by using Explorer, to locate the OLEPRO32.DLL file, rightclicking on the file, and displaying its properties You can then click on the "version" tab, and then compare version numbers To correct the problem, there are basically 2 options, either replace OLEPRO32.DLL with the older version, or install a program, that will install the OLEAUT32.DLL file I have found it works better to do the first option (replacing the OLEPRO32.DLL file)
