I have recently been getting a lot of spam e-mails is there a way to stop them?

I have recently been getting a lot of spam e-mails that seem to be generated by some automated computer program. The "send to" address is not mine, but some random address. My question is; how can I recieve these if they don't have my correct address, and is there a way to stop them.

You have to be more specific on which ESP (Email Service Provider) you are using because each ESP have diffrent steps to block emails ex if you have hotmail, go to your hotmail website and they have options in the bottom of the screen whether to delete or block Select block and you wont be able to receive emails from thta email address again hope this could help.
