Hello and thank you for your question.

You asked if it was wise to delete the Cookies, History and Temporary Internet Files Folder, and the answer is No You see, Microsoft has developed this function because users, like you and I, were asking for a way to purge files

When you surf the internet, some websites insert a program that is used to track what websites you go to in order to profile you This way they can see what kind of banners, and advertisements they can send to your computer Cookies are also used to help some websites recognize you when you are a repeat visitor When you revisit a web site the cookie will let the host server know that you are back again The cookie will also let the website server know where you have been also So in order to help control cookies and your privacy, Microsoft gave the option to delete cookies in the tempory folders file

You are also given the option to delete history, which deletes the history of every website you have visited

To delete these options from your temporary folders file, will leave you open and in no control of privacy Another thing that these options do, is to help you reclaim hard drive space that you might need

I hope this helps you,

Thank you.
