Installing a New Printer

I bought a new printer but I don't know how to install it. It's a Lexmark 52.

My HP is alot slower and old.

Installing a New printer should be painless, especially the Lexmark Z52.

The Lextmark has great software that comes with the hardware If you do not have any software take it back to the store you bought it from, they should replace the missing software and directions

The Lexmark z52 is compatable to use either the USB port or COM 1 printer port I would use the USB port Because the USB is a little faster and makes use of the new technology.

The directions for the Lexmark is simple and easy to follow, and should be a cinch to follow

But if you want to use Microsoft's generic driver

Click START> SETTINGS> Click PRINTR

A printer dialouge Box will open Click Add new printer Another box will open.Click NEXT, Now Scroll the printer type and company Click NEXT> Select the port you will be using then click OK now you should be able to use you printer.

If you are unable to use your printer please go to the lextmark website to download the driver www.lexmark.com
