My computer will not load Windows 98. It makes a loud buzzing noise then at the top of the screen it says operating system not found on any devices press any key to try again. I've tried to use my start up disk but it doesn't seem to work either. I've gotten it to start up here and there but it takes alot of time. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Jon

By what you are saying, sounds like your harddrive is going bad But before we can assume this you should open your computer up and check if the harddrives cable is plugged all the way in Also check the BIOS setup boot sequence to make sure it is trying to boot off of the C: drive You can get in the BIOS by pressing either F2, Delete, or F10 at start up After you are sure all of these things are set correctly, you should try to reinstall the Operating System again, and if this doesn't work, there is a good chance that your harddrive is no longer functioning.
