What can I do about spyware?

Hello there,

My name is Saviour. Recently I notice a strange phenomenon in my system, which is more or less like spying. The problem is that when ever I start accessing any site for the very first after I logon to my system I see an icon of an unknown application running and this is only visible when I try switching from one window to another window and the website is still in the process of opening. It is seen only till the first site is downloaded, then later it does not appear at all.

I feel that my system is being monitored using some spy software which has been manually installed or installed without my knowledge when I visited some site.

I have the snap shot of the screen where the application icon is seen with "MCI" displayed right in the middle. If you would require, I can mail it as an attachment so that you could facilitate your investigation.

Please help by letting me know how to remove if anything has been implanted to monitor my computer activity.

The first thing I would try is running "Ad-aware" on your machine It is a free program that can detect and remove many types of spyware You can download it at the following link:
