MSVCIRT.DLL ERROR MESSAGES
I was loading office 2000 and when front page started to load I got this error message:
A device attached to the system is not functioning
When I x out this came up
The MSVCIRT.DLL file is linked to missing export
Can you tell me how to fix this?
This question was answered on March 5, 2002. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.Make sure that there are no copies of MSVCIRT.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL on
your system other than in the \Windows\System folder Download these
files from here:
Exit Windows to MS-DOS mode and change to the \Windows\System directory Rename the two existing files to *.bak and copy the downloaded files into that directory Although it might work when replacing MSVCIRT.DLL only, I recommend to replace both files in this particular case.
