My current internet provider is Cox Cable and I just switched from @home to Cox (I've been with Cox for a year). A few days after the switch, Netscape, my default browser, started launching automatically as soon as the computer booted up and my desktop finished loading. This only happens when I first boot up. If I go offline later and use another program, it does not launch again on it's own. The only thing that has been changed is some email information. This was changed to Cox specs. I'm networked with my wife's computer and it doesn't happen to her. Thanks for any help.

It is possible that your browser is being instructed to start because it's linked to the start up file Click on the start button in the task bar, go to programs then the startup folder If the Netscape Icon is there, right click on it then delete it Close all applications and restart.
