How to fix the error message

On startup,I receive an error message--- z:vvinesd.386

systemini file--- device file no longer exists

I just networked 2 home P/Cs on a Linksys router (BEFS41 ver.2)

I don't know where to look for this file or what it is for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This question was answered on March 26, 2002. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.


The setting you are looking for will be found in the registry First

make a registry backup for safety Then click Start, Run, type Regedit

and press OK, click Edit, Find, type "vvinesd.386" (no quotes).

The key containing this unecessary value will be located, and can be

deleted The boot process should no longer find it.
