Why is my computer turning itself off?

My problem is that my computer will cut off by itself and then it won't cut off for hours on end. I don't know if it is having electrical problems or the fan is messing up. The fan can't be messed up because I bought it over a year ago. I contacted the company but they haven't gotten in touch with me. If you could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
